catalyst Full

Well I got the catalyst full message yesterday.

Time to take a step in the delete direction. I ordered the Smarty Jr. and an MBPR delete pipe this morning.

I will take the truck out on the highway this weekend to let it regen and then fix it right.

I am planning the Cali style delete can someone tell me what size freeze plug to use for the EGR plug?

Thanks all.

Are you in reduced power mode? If so, from recent personal experience, the truck won't go into regen without hooking it up to a computer and resetting the regeneration timers.
FWIW, resetting this timer(s) doesn't have to be done at a dealership. We did mine on a Wyotech(?) system that my local ex-dealer has in his shop. The timers do not show up on the initial "Clear Codes" function screen. The menu has a "Misc" tab, which is where they're located.

Thanks for the reply.

At this point it is not in reduced power. It just chimed me yesterday and stated the catalyst was at 80%. I have only put six miles on it since.

You can delete the egr cooler entirely. H and S made makes a easy delete kit.

Thanks for the reply Mega, baddogs.

I would love to do the full delete but like Mega I have to deal with emissions every two years so I want to keep it as simple as I can.

Thanks for th Doorman number Mega.

Kind of a bummer weekend. Goodies didn't show up Friday like UPS expected so I ended up doing fence all weekend. They show expected delivery today so maybe I will find time to install them this week before I head out Friday with the fifth wheel.
