Back to the dealer with the truck BLOW a power stearing hose, is anybody have fuel pump or injector problems with there 2007 6.7L dodge? I am not sure what it is, but when cruisin down the freeway at about 55-75 lol and some times up to 110mph the engine chokes like there is no fuel to it for asplit second... i am thinking fuel pump or injectors mite be haveing problems. Please let me know if you have hear anything about this.

No mine been running good have not had any issues yet.

 

You may have gotten a bad tank of fuel and clogged the filter somewhat. I would change the fuel filter. I had that happen with my tractor. It had a tiny filter....

 

Cool thank you now i am off to go buy a new fuel filter and see if that helps any.

 

The truck probly defueled at 110...

 

Yes I would say at 110 the truck is defueling...but I have no idea other than a dirty/clogged fuel filter from a bad batch of diesel.

 

If you have an automatic and you are cruising and then decide to coast for a short period of time and then pick the throttle back up there is definately a slight stumble feel. This is not the motor but, the transmission.

 

it does this with cruise on and off aswell, it will even do it with me slighty accelarating. but it never happens at full power or med power accelataration. And one time i was accelarating and the engine died out for like a full second and it was anough to lock up the seat belt. i just drained the fuel/water seperator, and going to install a new fuel filter.

 

Well, maybe this is part of the problem????

Ive been fighting a stalling problem for six months now. It stalls out like its outta fuel and slowly picks itself back up. Its been in the shop 7 times for this and they cant find anything. Today it finally died on the side of the road. Made to dealership with first time check engine light on. My pdf filter was 100%full they had to order new filter. It gave no warning other than stalling at random times.

Got it back from dealership with new pdf filter. Made it about 20 miles ,max speed was 30mph blowing lots of black smoke. Died on side of road, tried for half an hour to get started finally started walking. Came back later started right up. Back to dealer for the eighth time. They have no idea whats going on. Starting to lose my patience. Any info or ideas?

is it throwing any codes when it does this?

 

The first code in six months "they said" was the pdf filter on Thurs. When it done it again Fri night it posted code but dealership was to busy to call me back and let me know what it said. Starting to wonder if they are being honest with me.
