I know this thread is a long time dead, but I have a question about the switch. I noticed that the stalk for the **** was about twice as long as it should be ... it looks stupid sticking out an inch - is this just me, or is this how it's designed? I'm thinking of pulling the switch out and hacking half of it off. I also noticed that my wiring harness was used - it had oil on two of the connectors. I was going to make a fuss, but it seems to work okay and it'll just get dirty in there, but for $400 ... anyway. All I can say about this module is HOT ****! It's a good thing those H2 tires are so cheap!

How about this optional ****? I'd love to be able to hide mine a bit more.

Thanks much,
Walt_Mink

I'll help keep this thread alive too. I'm with Breakin on this as well, but I would like to see the setting say "Stock"..."Smoke"..."Roast"..."Kill".

I mounted mine in the ash tray. Open ash tray, click, close ash tray. No one knows its there.

What, and ruin my cellphone holder!? Not a chance!

I just have mine mounted near my right knee ... not too obvious, but right there when I need it. Is the stalk on your switch very long? Can you still see part of it (in my case 3/4 inch) after the **** is installed?

Thanks,
Walt_Mink

Nope, can see nothing except a closed ash tray door. I took out the internal black tray and drilled through the bottom part, then drill a hole for the **** to come up the second piec of plastic. Screwed it down and the ash tray door swings open when you push on it and then just close it like normal. That way when I am in the dealers for my free oil changes, the guy won't see know ***** unless he is looking for spare change or what nots. Not saying that anyone snoops in my truck when its in the hands of someone behind walls.

We go through so many switches that sometimes we have to buy them with a little longer shaft. These shafts are easy to cut down if you desire. I use a pair of wire cutters and snip them off to length. Just make sure you leave enough for your set screw to grab.

Sure. I was so proud of it that I was going to post it. When I get home, Ill upload it. Took me some time, about 45 minutes to set it in there. I didn't want to drive to the dealer to by another ash tray for 500 bucks!

Geeze - duh. It didn't even register with me that it might be plastic. Snippy-snippy - all is well. Thanks Qzilla.
