Xzillaraider II Questions

Received the X2 and when I update the module it comes up with "module Invalid" But when I check the module information is shows the update is this normal?

From my understanding from using the Control Pod it has five settings.
PL 0 through PL-5
Pl-0 is off
PL-1 is 20HP? does it then go up to 40, 60, 80, and 100HP with each
If I put the STD with max mileage the it is PL-1 =MPG then goes 40,60 etc.??

Also I am seeing high EGT with it on the whenever I floor it. >1500 degrees.
I have yet see the boost pressure over 28 when I floor it due to the high EGT's. Does not sound normal???

No its not normal,28PSI is not sufficient for a heavey fueled diesel,I can hit 45-50 if I want with the smarty in 170HP. If the the Xzillaraider does not have boost fooling you need to invest in one.

If your exhaust temps are that hight make sure you have the tune loaded that enables the boost fooling. I think on the 600s there is a tune that disables boost fooling. Check your filters and make sure you dont have any boost leaks. As far as settings go you are correct, the MMM tune only takes place of the lowest power tune or pl1.

With the Quad on the highest setting you should be easly at 40+#s for boost pressure. I would check for a boost leak like OldSmokey suggested. When was the last time you changed your air & fuel filter? Otherwise you might be having a lack of fuel...

how's the fuel pressure going to the CP3 & at the rail?

Also I don't see what you have gauges... you could have a bad boost gauge.

I can't get over 39 p.s.i on my truck with my X2 on the 100 h.p. setting. I'm pretty sure I'm starting to run out of fuel. I'm beginning to notice low fuel pressure levels at start up.

Bigntall, did you figure this out? I'm having the exact same problems. I got 42lbs. boost & 1300 EGT's, got home ,installed X2 w/smoke & now 30lbs. boost w/ 1350+ EGT's real fast?

Nope have not .. The most Boost I have seen is 30psi and the EGT's were pushing close to 1500 degrees.

bigNtall, I'm thinking MAYBE we didn't install something right. Did you use dialup(I did)? I'm gonna call them today & see what I can figure out. Anyone else have any idea?

Let me know what you find out ...I am a day sleeper so it is hard for me to call.. The only other thing that I have noticed is that I can hear more what I am going to call "timing rattle" on acceleration. But my EGT's almost instantly peg out close to 1500 whenever I get onto the accelerator hard.
