wish me luck new injectors are here

Heres the deal, my truck developed a ruff idle when cold and blew alot of white smoke, had a ruff idle, but cleared up when warm. Sometimes when warm it would lope and blow smoke at an idle but under acceleration, load or normal driving it would run great.
Being my own warranty station I called Tim, and we narrowed it down to and electrical issue with an injector. I didnt want to mess around with it so I ordered 6 new ones from Cummins ( good lord bosch has us by the *****).

Anyway I got a call from Tim he is taking a half day off and driving the three hours 1 way today to install my injectors, I told him I could handle it but he wants to personnally install them (thank goodness with my luck I would screw something up). Better yet Don M sent brand new Flux 3.5's at no charge, and wants the old injectors back to test them and see whats going on. Now thats customer service, I didnt ask for new tips, as the tips are not the issue. The best customer service in the world is the kind you dont have to ask for. So if you had any doubt who to get your injectors from, you shouldnt any more.

I will post the result tomorrow, Im sure it will be fine, but Im always nervous till I start the key and it runs perfect.

That's TOP NOTCH no two ways of asying it. We are lucky to have vendors that care the way thy do about what they do, and what you do with it. A good quality part and good quality service are hard to find, hard to beat, and something to support. What goes around comes around is where I see it. Dodge will live to see the day that they have hurt themselves over all their inferior stuff and bad manners toward us owners.

I look forward to hearing about your outcome, hope it's everything you are seeking.

Wow that is awesome customer service! I just received my Flux 2's in the mail Monday that I got thru Tim, he seems like a great guy! I wonder if he wants to travel to Iowa to pit them in? I think I'll be ok but that is really cool!

This is what dealing with Don M and F1 and his great representative installers is like...it renews your faith in the whole business world or at least in the performance diesel sector. We are so lucky to have people like Don M, Tim, Bob, Rip, etc. looking after us. Trust me when I say that not all high end diesel performance vendors are this honorable. If it wasn't for Don M and Rip I might just have gotten sick of it and gotten a hybrid car or a moped. Kerry

Hey skynyrd, you need to get in touch with Tim about your tranny , I've witnessed his work ,Unbeleivable attention to detail. We even drove around town at 9:30 on a fri. nite to find a thrust bearing for an overdrive. Tim and his crew arethe best guys and THEONLY ONES who will ever touch my truck .

Well we got her fixed last night at about 7pm in the snow. Thanks to Tim and Don for the help.
JMCCART- its really a pretty easy install, and easier when your mechanic drives 6 hours to do the work. I found great directions with pics on TDR I believe.
Dodgezilla- that would have been great, Im sure Tim would have loved it.

Now the truck does not smoke at all at initiall start up(12 degrees this morning), no white smoke at all. Idles so smooth I cant believe it, it is as smooth as a gasser. I have only run it with the BD on Tow due to the snow but it has alot of power, and I cant wait for it to dry up so I can test Crazy Larry.
