Winter Grill Covers???
Does anyone use the winter grill covers to help keep heat in the engine compartment?
I've been searching the web for some for an '06, but all I can find are custom stainless ones for a couple hundred bucks.
I was just thinking of something for $100 or less, as it's usually not really THAT cold here in PA.

They sure do make it for the '06. I have one on mine. It fits behind the grill over the radiator so you don't see it. And it's adjustable. $99.60 from dodgeparts.com.

I use the old fashined cardboard. I have about 2" of radiator not covered down one side. Just slide it in front of the radiator but behind the front one, without looking not sure if it the intercooler or the trans, poke a hole in the top and add a piece of wire on top to keep it from dropping down. I ran 70 MPH today in temperatures from 35 to 20 deg F with no problems, truck stays at 180 deg.
Wire cost about a dime.

I have the Dodge one also. It is pretty nice. Did you figure out what to do with those three hooks on the bottom? What do you think of those install directions?

The three hooks go into the three holes in the bumper. If you have fog lights, the factory fog light harness is utilizing the three holes in the bumper. Just remove the witing harness clips from the bumper, and zip-tie the harness through the holes. That way you can put the three hooks through the holes.

That would explain it. I do have the factory fog lights.

I think Lund makes them, I've seen a few trucks on here with them, slick looking IMO.

The Mopar cover does a 100% better job than the outers you are talking about. It seals off the entire radiator area. You would be surprised at how much air can get in from other areas besides the four little grill inserts.

The inserts I speak of are intentionally designed with perforations to let some air pass.
For the price I'm sure they do a fine job, or they wouldn't even be in existence.
