Window Tint Question?
I just had 20% 3M window tint installed on the front windows of my truck. From the outside, it looks great and matches the rear very well. However, it doesn't match on the inside . What I mean is that when you look out the front windows, it does not look the same as looking out the rear windows. The front windows have a slight green effect, for lack of better words. The rear windows don't seem to have any color in them compared to the front. I don't know if anyone in my truck would notice except me, but it is definately different.
Does anyone else's truck look like this? It is a very reputable shop, and they said this is the same tint they put on all trucks/cars to match the rear windows. I have to go back tomorrow so they can inspect the windows and roll them down for me, so I'd like opinions on the subject before tomorrow.
Should I be upset, and ask for tint that 'truly' matches my rear windows? Or should I just have the same tint put on the rear windows also to darken them, and to make it the same 'coloring' effect as the front? (I was thinking of doing this, but don't want to shell out the money right now)

My tint matches perfectly to the factory from the outside and inside. I would tell them that you noticed a difference and that you are not satisfied. I had to take my 1500 back to a shop 3 times because the tint didn't match. Good luck.

If they just installed the tint it needs to cure out the haze. This is more noticeable in the winter months.(Takes longer) Give it a week or so then make your decision.

Also keep in mind that the rear windows are smoked glass, not a film.
This is why I stopped tinting windows for other people.

I've got 5% all around. Its dark enough that the front almost matches the 5% on top of the factory tint. Dark enough where it really doesn't matter...its just dark. I don't want people seeing inside the truck for any reason.

I have 20 on the sides and I had them put a layer of 20 over the factory rear glass as well. Its dark as heck but i love it.
Give it a few weeks to dry and see how it looks. Mine looked different after a couple of days in the sun.

I don't mean to threadjack here or anything but I just had a quick question.
All you had tinted was the 2 front windows and the rear? How much did that run you to match it all up with the 2 back windows?
I'm realy need to get mine tinted, it looks a little weird w/ the fronts being clear.
Thanks.

Well, thanks for the help guys. Once I asked the shop today, they explained it to me, and apologized for not making it clear to me before. Apparently the film will be slightly different, but it does look better today after drying for 24 hrs.
And to solve the problem, I'm just going to have them put 5% on the rear windows to have them all have the tint on! No more looking into the back of my truck
