Be careful with that dryer duct. The turbo can pull in A LOT of air and it may want to collapse that tube, not to mention the extreme heat in that area due to the exhaust.

okay yall here it is, dryer tube is NOT the way to go, first piece was burned up by battery posts Second piece colapsed almost at idle, so......don't try this at home kids
But..... I did remove the baffles and it made a real difference , unlike to silencer ring removal, it also really improves response, i guess the turbo spools quicker and easier

Go to a kenworth, peterbuilt or what ever dealership or even a exhaust shop that works on semi's . Get a chunk of aluminum or stainless steel ( cause you definately dont want this to get interior rust from precipatation )You can probably get a chunk of their scrap for free or next to it. Trim it up & install.
I'll post a pic

Once you remove the stock tube, you will see the the upper end has a lip on it. Use a chisel ( I used a small pick and a flat screwdriver) to seperate the lip. Basiclly the outer canister is too pieces, you`re trying to seperate the top from bottom. Once you get the "top" off, the inner baffles will slide right out. You can then use a good high temp epoxy to reglue the canister back together. I also ran 4 very small screws through the lip on mine incase my epoxy ever gave way.
