will these rims fit...confused!!

Ok...I searched and read and I'm still confused.

Has anyone run these rims before?

http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/produ...=Wheels&man=XD

I was looking at them in 17x9, 5 in. backspacing, 0 mm offset

What will this do? I know it will stick out from under the truck a bit, but will the wheel clear the caliper? What else could happen?

Anyone have any suggestions on an all black or mostly black wheel in a 17 to fit our rigs? I have a set of H2s in my garage and was going to powdercoat them...but they are chrome and I worry about the chrome flaking off during the PC cure process.

Thanks.

i always got the impression powder coat stuck better to smooth surfaces...cant get any smoother than chrome! lol i read somewhere in a thread that a guy sandblasted his wheels and got the chrome finish off.

as for the black wheels, i dont know if they come smaller than 18 inch but i think the kmc xd series rockstar rims look pretty sweet, thinking BOUT GETTIN A CREDIT CARD SO I CAN ORDER UP SOME 20'S FROM 4WHEEL PARTS

Thats the same dimensions as the XD Diesel which doesnt fit in a 17". I want the black Diesel's so bad. The wheel that ptgarcia has (XD Hoss) is almost all black and it fits. Its a 17x9 with 5.71" of backspacing. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...=124845&page=3

You're going to want something with more offset. The shop I got my wheels from ordered the 4.5" backspaced set originally and they stuck out way too far.

With a 17x9 you want at least 5.5" backspacing. Check with KMC because my XD Hoss can be ordered with +18mm offset which puts the backspacing at 5.71".

Good luck!

Personally I really like the look of the wheels sticking out. I think they look awesome with 35's, a small lift, and flares...

To clear 4.5" back spaced wheels and 35" tires you need more than a level kit, unless you don't mind trimming sheet metal. Mine would actually hit the fender. But on a 6" lift I like that look also.
