stock mine would smoke when i launched from idle without building boost. With the edge it will smoke from idle to 90mph the whole time with the pedal to the floor. Its not a huge cloud, but its a nice amount that i can notice.

TST, Stacked with the Edge EZ, you'll have all the smoke you want, and some you don't want.

My 2000 never smoked except for when I started it on verrry cold mornings. My new 04.5 puts out a small noticable puff bone stock.....even more so after the 037 reflash.

btw, welcome to the site

You have to be "under aired" to smoke. I have plenty of fuel...would smoke like crazy with a stock turbo, but really does not smoke at all now. Maybe one blast till the turbo builds boost. It will blow clear to the rev limiter.

Its weird being on this site and owning the truck, but i always thought a truck that smoked was deficient in "parts" so to speak. like mentioned above lack of air. seems like your wasting fuel thats unburned.? no?

The only way I can get mine to smoke is to lug it with the TC locked up, and I try not to do that. Darn truck just runs to smooth? I thought it would be a smoking machine with all of my upgrades, oh well. At least it lifts the steer tires off the ground, and I don't even need a tow truck to accomplish that.

With the volumizer set on the 100 HP setting I can get a good amount of smoke until the turbo spools up. It takes a lot of fuel and a low air flow to get smoke out of these new trucks. All the EPA' doing

Want smoke? Get the Bully Dog Power Pup. Put it on the Performance or Extreme setting and WOW!!! My truck smokes worse with the BDPP/TST stack than my 02 ETH with Comp and 100hp injectors... You can fog out an entire population if necessary...

Man, you guys are lucky! I had all of these plans to smoke out all of those NYU yuppy types, riding their $5000 ten speeds, hogging the roads out by the house this summer. Bumbs come out from the city and make our commutes to town nerve racking! They ride 4 abreast down our twisty country road. Nothing like popping around a turn to have to slam the breaks for a bunch of "Highly Educated" twits, riding in the middle of the road at a nice leisurly pace. And then they have the nerve to flip you the bird when you try to pass. Maybe a 14' 4x4 strapped to the bumper?

I had my Edge set to 4 and the pup to extreme. I could get smoke, but it sure chattered the torque convertor. My tranny did not like it. Even from a dead stop, very little, if any smoke. I guess I should consider myself lucky, I guess I am just to well tuned?

Am I missing something?

Mike

Auto trucks spool much more quickly, and are very hard to get smoke out of. The TST will make an auto smoke throughout the RPM range, but at the price of your tranny
