Who's running a fuel pressure gauge with a isolator??
#16
Been running a line straight to the gauge for 4 years now. No leaks and I don't expect to have any. Got a needle valve on the line for that just in case but I ain't worried. All of my friends (10+) are running it in the cab with no leaks and have been for some time. Everyone I know that runs an isolator ends up having issues with it after a while.

no isolator and no leaks for over three years, carry a small vise grip with me if it ever leaks I can just pinch the line shut and i'm back on the road till I can get it fixed.

Oil is a little different animal than diesel. Have any of you guys tried to get diesel smell out of clothes or rags? Personally, I wouldn't even take the chance. But that is my $.02

I votel yes, but I dont think you will be sorry. When I bought my guages (about 30,000 miles ago) I didnt know any diff and when I got em from diesel manor he recomended it.
If it does fail I will most likely run staight diesel into the cab but after more than a year and 30,000 miles no probs to speak of yet.

I am running the "Di-Pricol" 0-100 FP Gauge" in both of my trucks and have had no problems with them. My son (banshee) has had the same gauge in his 2004 now for almost three (3) years with no problems whatsoever.
I have also had an "Autometer" 0-100 Electric FP Gauge" and an older model "Isspro Electric FP Gauge" in my older 96' and had NOTHING but trouble with them!! The sending units in BOTH brands never lasted very long! IMO,.....the electric FP gauges are junk and I beleive that because the sending units cannot tolerate the diesel fuel over a long period of time.
As far as the true "mechanical" FP gauges, I know they work well for alot of owners and our members too, but personally the thought of that thing leaking diesel fuel into the cab, down into the carpet etc. will keep me from trying one. I know that with the "isolator" FP gauges they could leak too, but personally I would rather deal with antifreeze than diesel fuel.

Isolator from dieselmanor and no problems. Been on the truck for a year. Bleeding was very easy. No needle bounce. Works great. No possiblity of diesel in the truck either.

I have one. I do have problem's with it getting air. I never knew you had to bleed them.
Personally, I don'w want to risk diesel in my cab. What's $65 in a $40,000 truck.
