Or is it mounting under the seat (not the backrest)?
Yep, that's the picture. The bottom part houses the sub. It is downward firing, against the floor of the cab. You still retain the armrest console, with its storage, and it can still flip up to be used as a backrest.

well you indeed have alot of stuff there, and the one that sits there is 5', her friend is 5'2". i usually dont need 4wd when crusing from place to place and it is a pain to organize things in the console later but trust me, its worth it.

in the back is my tool box (behind my seat, rear folded down) then the rest is taken by my work bag, sometimes has bedding, 2 changes of uniforms, 2 sets of reg clothes, shaving kit, towels, and a bunch of other stuff) its tight but cozy

i went thru this about 2 weeks ago. was all set to run subs under the rear seat but was informed the had to ditch the fold flat floor. FORGET THAT, I love that feature. Instead i bought a 12" Bazooka that fits nearly perfect on the right rear passenger floor. Plus it disconnects and comes out real easy. If someone does come out with subs that retain the fold flat, it will probably rattle it so bad that you would rip it out anyway....

The kicker option does not allow the fold flat table. If you want to put "functional" subs under the back seat, the fold flat HAS to go.

One option is to run just one sub. That way you only loose half of the fold flat floor. If you put the sub on the driver side you can keep the larger section of the floor.
