joe,

I had a truck a few days back with some Flux nozzles make 77 HP over stock. Not too bad for a 40 HP injector. No TS performance events for me. Im busy and cant even make May Madness this year Same dyno, same truck. Only an injector swap.

George,

If your injectors have running problems I like the idea of you getting some new ones from D/C. Tell me about the bnoxes you have on your truck. Type, power levels, etc.

What turbo??

Any feedback yet from people running these injectors in combination with the Bully Dog Power Pup?

George, My guess is the injectors are fine. I almost suspect the fueling box.

Yes, the more fuel you command the injectors to inject, the higher the heat will be. They are nothing but a complex valve and if they run and idle fine, its highly unlikely the injectors are bad. The command signal to hold them open longer is not happening or perhaps not happening completely.

Toby,

I have a customer running a Bully Dog DL and the injectors work fine with it. He reports the BDDL is picky on the throttle at first, but he is now used to the change. With twin turbos and the BDDL on the middle program his EGT is less than 950 degrees at WOT.

Boy it'll be a looooooooong time before I go to twins, but that's good to know! I'm running the BDDL in "TOW" mode all the time, and the power is good but even with the Scotty III and the 4" exhaust, I can hit 1250 degrees in cool weather pulling a decent hill. I'm thinking if these injectors will help cool things down a bit and give me some power and economy to boot, I'd be a happy camper!! Think it'll work, specifically while towing?

Toby,

I just got the low down on the BDDL and the injectors.

In the 100 HP setting ( the middle ) it is making 1050 EGT at WOT at the 3000 feet elevation level. You can subtract about 100 degrees for sea level.

So far everyone is seeing a mileage increase when they changed to the flux. 1-2 and sometimes 3. One guy had a 4 MPG increase but that was changing from a large honed injector.

I suspect you will get a mileage gain. Even towing

Don will have to answer your question directly about what he has or is doing with the 04.5 and up injectors. But I do remember reading a few months back that he thought the stock 04.5 injectors were very difficult to improve on. The 03 and 04's were different.

We have mileage, smoke and heat control, and about 20HP so far. This is keeping everything safe.

We have made as much as 126HP, but really anything over 20 makes too much heat and smoke. I suspect a few more months are needed.

injectors for 04.5

The only injectors I have read about that are being used successfully in the 04.5 are Industrial Injections 3-flows. There may be others that I am not aware and perhaps someone will provide their name and web sites. I know a couple claim to be doing edms but they are re-doing the existing holes and I think one even adds a hole or two but Don M says you can't do that successfully. I think some were going to be built in Italy or something like that and be distributed through Kerma but I haven't heard if those are using new tips or are they re-drills. Someone with a lot more expertise pls chime in.

Facts

I have Don's Flux in my 03,and this being the 6th set of injectors I've had in the truck,I can tell you the facts!!!!! DON'S ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!I'm not a friend of his,or do I know him at all,so I'm stating from my personal experience, and after spending $4000 dollars on injectors for my truck,I figure I have all the experience I need.I'm not going to start a brand war,or bad mouth other brands, but I can tell you that if you want an injector that doesn't smoke all the time and kill your fuel mileage, then DON'S ARE THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE,and if anyone would like to challenge that statement,I will gladly take the challenge!!!!! And for those that have just injectors and no TST box, then this will not apply to you,but if you are one of those. If your truck smokes at WOT and isn't making over 450,then you have the wrong injectors too!!!!!!
