when to do headstuds?
studs are needed once you are adding more boost/fuel which increases the combustion pressure which causes the head to lift. the studs provide the extra clamping force to keep the head from lifting.
how do i know when its time to add them, is there a certain hp range or just given boost/egt levels?
what exactly is involved w/ the install? can they be installed w/ the motor in the truck and the cab in place, is there enough room to work? also what is involved w/ installing injectors as well? does the head need to come off to install injectors?

i have talked to a few shops like enterprise sheids and a few others and all of them have said that the stock head gasket is good to 100psi of boost and they all said they would not do fire rings on my head, that they have been having way to many problems with the fire rings on street driven trucks. they recomened head studs after 70psi

so how do you pry the injector out with the fuel lines and connecter tubes still attached? and get the studs in and out with the rockers still on??I did both at the same time.you all ready have the top of the head apart so kill two birds with one stone.
