Whats up with VA C5?
That's funny because Dominator Diesel (one of the few C5 dealers) told me it's already been tested and approved for use on '06.5+ trucks. That's why I was wondering if Drillpipe's truck is an 06 or 06.5?
well you're welcome to be the guinea pig on it :-) Let us know
I just talk to VA, not a vendor last week. He said they didn't know when they'd have it ready for those year... he hoped it would be soon.
With as much trouble as just about all the boxes are having with the newer models... I think it'd be wise to wait for it all to be right

I wish somebody would figure out why our trucks are so much different than the rest.
you have to watch out man. TST had the same problem. TST stopped selling their box for those years BUT, some of their vendors didn't. Some don't care and just want to move the product. TST couldn't control who their vendors were selling their boxes too and they continue to get calls hoping for warranty because the box doesn't work.
Mark said people would call in to buy the box and lie about what year they had just to get it. That wasn't very smart because he said several of those people ended up with fried engines. They'd call TST raising cane expecting warrantyon their engine
Thats why they have a disclaimer on their site now. That's also why Mark stated that if you use their box on those years.... " it will melt a piston "
The guy I talk to at VA-USA said they haven't been able to figure out why it doesn't work yet probably just like TST. In talking with several of the manufacturers it seems none really have a good grip on the new ECM although a few are selling for the newer years.
Cummins or Dodge didn't want people in certain areas of the ECM so to break the code in those areas is harder than many thought it might be.

Here's a question for ya'...How come Quad seems to be the only boxes that have no problems on the later trucks? They also use the same exact part number for '06 and '06.5+. I'm starting to think Quad might be one of the only ones to have them figured out. Maybe a Quad-Smarty stack will be the best way for us to go?
