And what were you told when you called in to Quadzilla and told them of your problems and losses? I was told to send in my old harness for a new one. That's it!, no "I'm sorry", no "let me take care of half your money loss because of my product", nothing! HeII, it's easier for me to silicone the harness and be done w/ it, then pull eveything out, find a box and UPS, pay shipping, live w/ out it a couple days....... By the our cummins shop has those sensors for around 200.00 here, if you can't find a local shop and you ever need another(God forbid), give me a shout. THat stands for anyone.

THat's how I burned up 2 sensors, from washing the engine bay, and I also have a SRT10 hood that does let some water into the engine bay if it rains hard enough. The plugs have small holes around the wires(that plugs into the sensor) that allow water down into the connection. You would want to silicone these holes.

That sucks!

We use WeatherPak harness connectors - they have individual wire seals (like tiny grommets) to keep moisture out... sounds like the Quad stuff doesn't?

A dose of silicone on the plug's wire entrance should fix it though.

I ditched my RP gauge before it could fry anything. I also got rid of the XZT I had, I do not trust any of it.

personally.........

i wouldn't use the commander, attitude or pmt for my trucks vitals. i always have used guages. not much has changed as the reliability for the real guages. i dont know.....i guess i'm just an ol' fart! have not used the quad product yet, but was impressed (until i saw this thread) with their customer service. after hearing that they were going to make a adrenaline for the common rail, i was excited.

Customer service quality is great, but problems that have been occuring and keep on occuring with some of these products is just unacceptable. They can keep selling the same old malfunctioning design and keep getting these reviews, or they can fix it Like BullyDog is trying to do with their tunes. I know many of ya'll are happy with quads products, but I am not, I knew of potential problems, thought they had it fixed somewhat, and lose my RP gauge after a month. The only Quad product I ever bought, and probably the only one I ever will. That's why i suggest analog gauges to anyone who asks, because the only digital readout gauge i tried did not make me happy at all. (Not speaking of SPA or some other digital readouts, I know some are tried and proven.

I am really dissapointed in the lack of editing in this post. I am pretty sure that less offensive posts have been deleted because of "Vendor Bashing" . While I do have quad products on my truck, and yes....I have the "infamous" fuel pressure sender problem cured for now ( fingers crossed ) , I have always had very good repoir with quad. In due time, I hope quad will be back on here with some answers as to his sabatico! In the mean time, lets lay off someone who is evidently unable to defend himself for one reason or another, whatever it may be.....it's his decision.

Here is the connector in question. Amazing quality & craftsmanship in there products as usual. I didn't even use this product & it was FREE.

Here is a comparison of the Quad harness next to the DiPricol harness for rail pressure. It is very true that you get what you pay for.

Quad was posting on the 2nd gen forum Yeserday.

I think that they are just done with the 3rd gen crowd in here. Or ignoring these threads that have anything to do with the rail gauge. But this one just says "whats goin on with quad" so you'd think he'd pop in, like he used to do all the time, and let us know whats up.

I'm not bashing Quad but unsealed connectors to high dollar sensors under the hood?? That's bad Ju-Ju.....

Some may take posts like this as vendor bashing but others value the honest opinions of actual product users. Editing is a problem on public forums when complaints are swept away to protect paying advertisers of a site. If honest info can't be found on a forum it becomes nothing but a big paid infomercial. Quad brings some inovative products at good prices to market but i feel the quality control & development of products BEFORE release could be better. This is just my HONEST opinion. I"ll put my flame suit on now.
