I sold MANY a Banks Stage Three kits for 12 valves.Techs liked the install, customers liked the performance and warranty.I liked the WHOLE kit in a box.I kept Banks info on my desk and had customers take the sheets without saying a word and call back and set up a appointment.$3100 drive out for fuel plate, gauges, exhaust, turbo housing, air filter.deldt with Banks on the phone a lot.NEVER got a line from anyone connected with them.Got excellant service.Sold one to three kits a month.Did have a FEW customers ask about OTHER products and doing a kit made of of OTHER maufactures.Looked into that and MAYBE was a $200 reduction. Not worth the time, effort, issues. So I just told customers "WE" would not go that route.Eaither buy BANKS as that is what "WE"sell or try another shop.

That's because Banks doesn't sell turbos yet. They only get your money if they convince you to buy an intercooler.

Banks stuff isn’t bad at all. Some of their parts I really like. You just pay waaayyyyy too much for the name and can definitely get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

[QUOTE=getblown5.9]this is gonna be long but its about my neighbor blowing alot of money on junk.
Thats why I dislike salesmen. It drives me crazy when I'm spending my money & and I know more about the product than the salesmen. I like them even less when they take advantage of someone less intelligent or uninformed.

he said his total is up to $3300 now and all he is claimed to pick up is 126hp and 290tq, i try to tell him but he doesnt wanna listen. not to mention the exhaust he already installed doesnt sound or cool any better than stock, i couldnt even hear a difference while pulling a trailer on sunday

He can contact us I will walk him through it.The PowerPDA is much easier to install than the former Six-Gun Tuner. Also I have Dyno the PowerPDA with all the Fueling turn up,On Stock Pump and Injectors, With SPS62 ATS complete,Banks IC Exhaust,
160hp 300Tq, stack it with extreme 280hp 580tq Additional RWHP. 126hp additional RWHP is about Right on stock setup, that been true for close two years.

Now I think someone else is in the state of not Knowing. The BAnks exhaust flowa almost double what the stock exhaust does whether it is behind the cat or not so you can bet your *** it cools better to.To Some people it not about how cheap you can gain 200hp its how safe and proven you can gain 90 hp with a proven name and company that has been around as long as banks has.dont get me wrong im not saying the others like Edge arnt good
Im just saying banks has proven itself over and over again.I have a 12 valve cummins with the complete kit that todate has 290,000 Show me a truck with the edge like then your comparing apples to apples

why dont they just sell a muffler then? with the cat still in place, and putting a a banks cat back on WILL NOT flow double what the stock exhaust flows. it may flow a little more, but not double. wanna flow double than stock, straight pipe it and gut the cat...less than $50 invested and its gonna flow more, and cool better than any amount of research and testing into a banks system...its still gonna be 4" all the way back.

Well, if he said it doesn't cool better than stock, I'd THINK (not sure) that they have an egt gauge on the truck. If that's the case, and the gauge said it doesn't cool better than stock, that probably means that in fact it does not cool better than stock. One thing I'm curious about is how you know that the banks exhaust flows almost double what the stock exhaust does? What does the stock exhaust flow? I've never heard any figures for that.

I agree if you want the best flow then yes taking the cat out and running strait pipe is the best,By no means am I saying that this the best, but you get the best of both worlds sound and flow.If you have ever seen the inside of the stock muffler you would see what Im saying.Ill find the specs Its pretty close to double.
