I just always see that in people's signatures and it doesn't make sense to me so I tried it I have a couple airbox's lieing around so I swiss cheesed one removed my bd polished stainless intake and through it on and I saw higher egt's and worst turbo lag so I put on the other one I had with no hole's in it and got about the same results only difference was turbo noise. Just a little R&D I wanted to share was kind of a boring day today

So...whether it makes sense or not it is definitely an improvement over stock.

SO....I guess I have more air....and an air box that you can see through. Hopefully I won't get any water up in there. [/B][/QUOTE]
What if you bought an outerwears cover, cut it so you can wrap the bottom of the stock box and attached it somehow. This would seem to keep extra dirt and water out of the holes you cut in the bottom of the box. Just a thought.
I just changed the stock filter on mine at 15000 miles with an OEM Mopar. That gives me about 15000 miles to come up with a nice BHAF setup for my next change. I have plenty of threads to read on it.
