What modules/programmers do what?
Is there a list somewhere that tells you what programmers/modules/chips do what. What affects timimg, what only deals with fuel pressure? The reason I ask is because some websites/catalogs are not clear, and a "quick reference" chart would be handy to help find good stacks.
From what I understand the Edge Juice W/ Attitude is timing and duration. If this is correct, the next step in a stack would be fuel pressure/amount. Is this right? I have been looking at 5 different items to stack. 1) MP-8 2) Diablosport 3) Edge EZ 4) Quadzilla XZT 5) The Smarty. I did many searches but there is alot of conflicting info out there. I emailed all these compinies tonight to get thier answer, and would like to see if anyone here has any opinions. There is so much info on this site IT'S SICK! I LOVE IT!!! Oh yeah, I have the Quadzilla Boost Fooler too.
From what I know options 1-4 work really well. Option #5 should work but, some say it does not. That is the only qwirk in your options.
Now, pretty much any downloader will work but, you are not just adding pressure you will truly be stacking.
1.) So, the thing we need to know now is are you going after a little more mileage and better throttle responce as well as more power.
Or
2.) Are you just going for all out power?
For selection #1 Our XZT, EZ, MP8 and Powerpuck will all work. They will all be similar but, are all different. From what I understand based on others opinions is that ours is the most drivable with the best low end. The MP8 makes the most peak power and the Puck is the cheapest. If you use the MP8 or XZT you can sell your boost fooler to help pay for the module. If you use the Puck you need the fooler.
For selection #2 you will end up with a downloader of some sort and probably also the same thing as in #1.
Hope that helps and does not add to the confusion.

Well ultimately I would love all out power, but I need to make all upgrades in stages when I have the cash to do them. With what I currently have on my truck, I now want to turn my attention to the drivetrain. I currently set my Edge Attitude to 3/5, but I had a thought the other day. Would it be better to run it at say 2, stacked with a pressure type box(like the EZ) on it's lowest setting? Would this combo make the power even smoother since timing, duration, and pressure are all being addressed? Plus would it keep around the same amount of stress on the drivetrain until I can afford to upgrade? I hope this makes sense.
qzilla,
I am somewhat confused about how you can run the juice/attitude with a puck or your xzt (standard too maybe?). Just looking at the installation instructions online the boxes use some of the same plugs that my j/a uses, so I would think there would be some loss of functionality somewhere here. I would really love to use one of your boxes though, because I keep hearing good things about your low end power.... and I know from reading these boards just how active you are in actually LISTENING to customers.
On to your second point, I just picked up a used Flashpaq for the recalibration feature. I'm not sure I understand how a downloader that doesn't raise rail pressures, or not much anyways, like the flashpaq can add anything more to the edge setup. It seems to me that the edge would just alter the downloaders reflashed engine tunes to edge's and render the downloader pointless. I'm sure my thinking is faulty somewhere, so let me have it if I'm wrong

There are a few products out there that work well.. I was running the BullyDog Scary Larry program for racing. I now run the newest Smarty programming. I have yet to race with the higher settings, though it ran a 13.35@100 on the 60 hp setting last weekend at the Moroso NHRDA event. The truck is an 06 2wd 2500. I expect low 12's when I find the traction to use the higher settings. The truck does have a 62-14 turbo, and 90hp injectors, though it's a very basic setup.
