What a mess

Cracked my second injector in 10k miles.

Unreal, put 70k miles on the truck (running an SP Diesel box for 65k of those miles) and then cracked my first injector...now a second one just shy of 10k miles later. What an absolute mess of a job, I paid the dealer to fix it the first time because I was far from home and needed it back fast. Well this time I was only 50 miles from home this morning when I noticed my fuel was dropping fast so I just drove it home. Pulled them all out and I'm doing now what I was planning on doing before I cracked another one getting them upgraded to F-1 40s and I'll prob have the truck back up and running faster then when the dealer worked on it for me.

Since this is isn't a racing truck it should be nice little upgrade and work well with my SP box and wastegate controller without me needing to make any updates to the rest of the fuel system. Who knows, it might be enough to turn that 15.04 1/4 miles time into a 14.99...which wouldn't be too bad for a daily driver dually (since I always drive on high). It will probably also be enough to deal a death blow to the stock auto tranny which hasn't given me any issues yet (knock on wood).

Sorry to hear of the trouble. Be sure to post how you like the new injectors.

Good Luck!

You are doing exactly what I am going to do if one of my injectors dumps. Upgrade them and be done with it with a set of Flux sticks.

Me too. I'll be doing that with just about everything that breaks on my truck.

Thats the way to do it. Eventually you'll end up with the truck Dodge SHOULD have built.
