What is a safe amount of boost ?

I have an 05 CTD with the Bddl set at 90 hp and TsT PMCR at 4/4 and i can see 40 lbs of boost on the TST easily. Im not sure if the TsT will only read up to 40 lbs of boost. I might be getting higher that 40 Im not too sure.


What is the highest safe level on an 05 CTD with stock turbo ? and Is there a way to put a resistor in the electronic waste gate actuator to limit how high it can go?

At what point do you think head studs are needed?

I have the AFE Stage 2 intake with the new 6 " air filter outlet and this thing really sounds like a jet airplane.

Im a little scared it might take flight !!

if you are rumming the tst boost elbow thats loops back into the intake i think the stocker will last a good while but the more you lean on it the faster it may go

 

The TST will only read to the limit of the map sensor which between 38-40 psi. I have the CLDL stacked with the TST and can hit 51 psi and hold 46 psi with the stock turbo.

 

You guys must have the metal intercoolers. Also would'nt your drive pressure be really out of wack its only a 9cm turbine!

 

At 1.8:1, your head gasket is seeing 91.8 lbs of pressure (assuming that pressure ratio is accurate). Well....at least we know it's tough.
