What color tool box in my truck?!

Well, I am getting a tool box for the truck for Christmas and need to decide on a color. I am leaning more towards a black one, because of the dark colored truck and line-X. I figure the black box would "blend" more smoothly with the bed, but then the truck has the silver lower strip and the full chrome frontend(grill/bumper/bugshield)
It seems to me that the black boxes would get mighty hot in the summer time though, anybody experienced any problems with this? I keep mostly tools, strap, chain, stuff that wouldn't be damaged, but then I also keep my PS and 2 stroke jugs in there.

Here's the truck in question:

I have the same truck and have wondered the same thing for awhile now. I'm starting to lean toward a low profile black one myself.

I have the black UWS box on my truck. I can touch up scrapes with marker or paint. What do you touch up bright aluminum with?

my buddy got a plain diamond plate...the cheapest he could find as far as bells and whistles....then had them spray it with RHINO liner just like his bed and then reinstall his tool box. IT was the flush mount look that sat on floor and was even with top edge of bed rail.

Looked good and not as noticeable for those wanting to try and break in or steal as it blended in to be near impossible to see at night....or while driving.

will you need to get helper or stiffer springs in the rear to keep from sagging even more to the rear when you put another few hundred pounds of toolbox in???...

No need to touch up.... there's aluminum under the aluminum.

And if you can get the inside of the box sprayed with Linex. It will cut down on the rattles and the aluminum powder that forms from stuff rubbin around (turns to clay when it gets wet).

Nice truck, I definately think black would suit it best. Like the Rhino liner idea.

Both aluminum and black are neutral colors, However the black can get hot in the summer....
