What clutches are you using?

Ok,
I'm in the market for a good clutch for pulling my 5th wheel and daily driver. I tried ceramic. I'm not running a super bombed rig. 400hp-900 ft/lbs.

I did several searches and have not found a definative thread that covers this.

What are you using and for how long? No I'm not looking for a vendor bash or plug fest.....
thanks
Greg

I love my South Bend Clutch OFE. I have the newer version with 3200# or so of clamping force.

I have not slipped it yet, and I've drag raced it, dynoed it and beat it on the street.

It is super smooth 90% of the time, and if it does get grabby, just hammer on it from 0-60 and it's smooth as butter again.

i just put in the southbend DD 3600. I love it! at 1st it was stiff and jumpy and irratating but now its broke in and I love it. prob got around 400rwhp or so. planning on more. u can do anything to these clutches. many people run the con ofe for pulling but if ur thinkin of 400hp or more ever u might as well get a dual disk. itll last forever. but others do have diff. wish i could help more

One side is Organic for smoothness, the other side is FEramic to hold the power.

I like the 450/1000 rated 1947 OFE and that they say it is for pulling, plus it comes w/ the higher weight press plt.
Now,
what else is out there??????
thanks!

what about centerforce?

Does any of the DTR sponsors sell clutches?

I looked at the DDs, I'm not going over where I'm at in HP. Ok, well maybe 450 hp/1000ft/lbs.......... I would like to crank up the bullydog to something other than "towing".....

I hate to sound like a broken record, but you can't go wrong with South Bend Clutch.
