What is the best fuel pressure tubing?

I am installing a fuel presurre gauge in my truck and it is a machanical gauge no isolator. I put it in the cab and I am going to put a banjo bolt on the cp3 and right after the banjo bolt on the cp3 I am going to install a needle valve. So my question is what is the best and most cost effective way to get from the needle valve to the gauge? Will the nylon tubing they sell work because on the package it says not for fuel pressure. I bought a isspro gauge 0-30 and it did not come with anything.

I would run an isolator....but if you don't want to spend the $$ then get good stainless steel braided line rated for diesel and run it....

BTW my buddy's dad had to sell his Ford cause the fuel filter leaked and it soaked the engine bay so bad that no matter how much they cleaned it it still stunk like diesel fuel!!!! in the cab while driving, the dealer had to buy it back cause they are the ones who changed the filter and did not tighten it.

my point is if it did leak in your truck it would stink like diesel FOREVER!!!

If it were me, I'd find a Swaglok dealer and get 1/8" ss tubing and fittings. Shove the ss tubing thru some poly tubing for extra abrasion resistance. Be careful where I routed the line, solidly secure the line near each end and put an offset in it for engine movement. I think that would be a pretty safe way. I don't think I would trust the normal hardware store fittings or plastic tubing for fuel in the cab. Craig

You should install an isolator but if you want to chance it then use Teflon hose, good strength, flexible and diesel will not hurt it. Good luck.

Just go to a parts store get some teflon lined air brake hose and the proper fittings, hook it up and go. Too much issue is made of special hoses for 15 pounds of fuel pressure. Oil pressurre gages used to plumb into the cab for many years.

I have read to much about the isolator going bad and I don't want that sounds like a expensive problum I can do with out. I am putting a needle valve in place so if I smell fuel or see fuel I can shut it off and make it home to fix.
