thats the kit i have...but haven't installed it yet.

70hp and a 250 degree drop in EGT's!!

water cools during injection causing the 250* drop while the methanol adds the 70hp.

the stage 2 kit kit from snow will come with a boost controller. so it will come on with the boost you set it at. also has a switch that has to be on to have it activated. it will cool egt's but too much meth can also raise egts. to get the maximum cooling effect run straight water in it. moderate hp gains can be seen with the water meth also.

Depends on your mods. I'm guessing with all stuff you already run, you'll only see 30-40hp. Unfortunately, mine wasn't working the day I dynoed my truck, but John has it on his truck and he thought it would gain me around 30hp or maybe a little more. The 70-90hp claims are on otherwise stock trucks.

And no, it won't do any harm if it runs out of liquid. It's probably not the best thing for the pump, but it won't cause any ill effects with the engine.

i'm new to it as well....but heres my take on it.

it is powered by a switch....

when powered ON, you can select what boost psi you want it to start spraying. You also select what boost psi you want it to be full spray.

I'm reading over the instructions now...and getting excited!!

At 360hp, once my water started spraying my egt's stopped dead in their tracks and started to go backwards. Haven't been on the dyno with it yet but I'm not looking for much out of it. I'm spraying pure water right now but for the dyno I'm doing windshield washer fluid.

I think what he is asking, is that if he has the switch on and he happens to run out of water/meth while the boost pressure is up and calling for it to be injected, will it hurt anything. No. The pump simply can't pump the liquid that isn't there. So as far as the engine is concerned, it would be the same as if it was turned off. The only possible ill effects, are that the pump is being triggered to run but has nothing to pump. Don't know much about pumps, but it may need the water to cool and or lubricate it while running.

As far as I know it won't hurt the pump but it can't be good for it. That's why I tapped into my washer fluid reservoir. Dodge gave us a wonderful low level light on that so I know when my water is getting ready to run out.

I don't think that water/meth produces anymore hp from what i've seen. They use 70 more hp as a sales pitch. All it really does is lower your egts and give you more usable hp.That is where they get the gains from. When i was on tst's mustang dyno over the weekend I actually lost 3hp but lowered my egts by about 200 degrees. this was with 50/50 mix on snow stage 3

i have just 4 gallons of water/meth on hand at the moment. its the 50/50 mix snow sells. you can use it at the dyno event in buda if you want to.

I can FEEL a difference when it's on or not. That has to be at least 20+hp I would think.

Thanks for the offer phil but without o-rings and on a high mileage head gasket with lots of boost and timing, I think I'll stick with the windshield washer fluid.
