Warranty Poll

What would make sense for you when purchasing a new vehicle?
I could've swore I spelled rebate correctly both times, more

It would have to be 5K and I would budget that for upgrades and performance enchancements.

The choice would have to be made upon delivery, not at the time I order.

none of those options

maybe 3/36k bumper to bumper and then you are on your own after that if you are in a modded truck

Mine came with the 3/36..7/70 powertrain and 100K cummins..

I extended the 3/36 to 6/70. Took one look at all the wires in the truck and it scared me. Plus on my previous durango I had to put in 5 power window motors (all under warranty).

I'd like to have no warranty from the factory (or maybe 5 days just to see if the engine is going to puke). My truck was out of 3/36 in about the first 5 months, rest of the warranty in about 14 months. Went back for a cruise flash. (recall). The last 4 vehices purchased new have not had warranty concerns. I'd take 5% of the purchase invoice price back for no warranty. Although the way these 3rd gens are built (mine anyway) I think DC could give 200k warranty and it would not cost them much, although I know this is a truck so I don't whine about the small stuff. (broken ashtray door, tilt lever.) My blend door is broken now, that will be on my dime when I fix it.

If you want an extended, shop around the Five star dealers on the internet. Try "eservicecontracts.com". My local dealer finely said he would match their price, which was several hundreds less than their original quote. I got the 7yr./100,000 on mine for 2k. This is the 'DC Max Care 7/100"
