Used Xzillaraider/Commander and Warranty and Upgrade Question

I've got the opportunity to purchase a used Xzillariader Race/Commander for $500. I'm still getting information from the owner on how old it is, serial no, etc. I was wondering, if it is new enough would I still qualify for a warranty? Also if I wanted would I still qualify to upgrade to the X2?

I highly doubt the warranty would be transferable....most consumer items are not required to carry such a warranty to my knowledge. As to the X2 upgrade, I think only Quad could answer that...I would think that they would offer the upgrade to you.

I just bought an XZT and want to know if its worth it to upgrade to the X2 module. Is there a big difference between the two, in terms of smoke, throttle response and mileage?

Definitely worth the $90 bucks or so to upgrade. Difference is smoother start and idle due to faster processor. USB programmability, that is the biggy. Multiple tunes downloadable off the web including the Mileage Max tune and stacking.

You basically go from a single 65hp 165tq module to a module that can take multiple forms depending on usage. I use the X2 XZT with the Mileage tune for daily commute and then reprogram it for the 65HP tow tune when pulling the toy hauler.

Hope that helps.
