"used" ARP head studs
I would assume it would depend alot on weather or not the holes were bottom tapped or not. I would think if the studs are installed to where the added stress of "cutting" its way down until tight then you may not want to have them "cut" the rest of the way in a new block.
That being said I am having mine installed in a diesel shop right now and told them not to bottom tap the holes. I have read atleast a half dozen posts in the last few years where the tap snapped off flush in the hole. Plus the manufacture, ARP says no bottom tapping is necessary.

I agree. This is one place where I wouldn't use a "used" part...

There may be a clearance problem but I wouldn't know because I bottom tapped. It's not a big deal to do and you'll be surprised how "soft" the block material seems to be... very easy to cut threads with the tap. There is clearancing that needs to be done on the back of the aluminum injector wiring hold down plate no matter what, unless you want a massive oil leak at the back of your engine....
