I have a 05 ram with diesel and just wanted to know if any one has sent in for the upgraded box, does it fit any better than the older one, does anyone have a picture of one installed, I am just wondering if it is really worth it or not. Thanks.

 

What upgraded box are you talking about? Is it for the 6.7? Is so, I bought my S&B 2 years ago and they sent me the 6.7 kit. They said it was a better box and flowed a little better. Mine fit great!!!!

 

I have a 2006 and I just installed the upgrade version a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be a better set-up. The old version was open in the back which allowed more hot air in and the filter seemed to bounce around alot. The new version is much better. Completely closed on the back and open on the side where the air comes in the fender well and the bottom. The filter is a little smaller too, the old filter was really huge. I like it. Pretty cool of them to offer the ability to upgrade and not pay full price. I have not recieved my money back yet though. You can look on their web site for the pics of the new version.

 

Go to there web site and see if they have an upgraded box for yours or not it might just be for the 5.9.

 

Is it just 99.00 to upgrade to the new box.
