Yeh it weird isn't it. but after a few miles and key strokes it changes. I think it kinda like after you tow it really seems to be a screamer for a couple days than levels back to normal. I almost think it more mental than anything. Only a dyno test may prove otherwise

I don't think it's mental. I noticed it too. It never felt this way after running older versions of the program. The only thing that seems different between stock and sw1 is far less smoke on stock. The truck runs great on stock, to the point of thinking of selling the Jr.

I'm considering the same thing. Engine's quieter and seems plenty powerful. I just have to depress the throttle more. Strange deal is that after 22K,when I floor the stock truck now,I'm getting tons of black smoke. I don't know if the cat is filled with soot or my injectors are partially clogged. Idles great etc. I'll drop in a double dose of Power service or Standyne and start opening it up. Air Filter is brand new with stock box. We've got a 1000 mile trip coming up,so that'll help.

I not sure I'd sell the smarty. I've noticed after driving for a week or so on stock program something missing. So I put smarty back on and found what was missing. Same thing happens after I pull 5th wheel(sw1 tq4/tm4) truck seems like an animal for about a week unloaded then I have to put it back to sw3 as it seems like it fads off. Thats why I think it becomes a play on your mind.
