I uploaded the stock setting and took my truck into the dealer for a oil pan gasket they flashed my ECU. When I went to upload SW 2 and got unknown software when I tried to connect to update the ECU. I just purchased the smarty jr. about 2 weeks ago. I sent an email to Mads but I have not heard anything back - any ideas?

 

you need to update the smarty with latest software. it will work again. since the dealer did the flash, you had older version of software on smarty now its not seeing the correct software in the ECM. update and have fun

 

Thank you I have to leave town right now but I will update it when I get home and give it a try.

 

On my Smarty I noticed that the version I have loaded is 5.08. I was at the Mads website and saw that there is now a 5.11. I haven't had any problems with mine so is there a difference between the .08 and .11?

 

biggest difference is just what Crash is experiencing. dodge did an update so Marco keeps up with them. take your truck and they flash it, smarty wont reload just as Crash is seeing. remember to remove smarty before taking into the dealer cause if they flash it without your knowing, it will over write smarty and clear out your ECM

 

Just finished the update and loaded SW3 back into the truck without problems
