uninstalling the JR
uninstalling the JR
I have my truck sold apparently and want to remove the Jr to sell to my buddy is all I have to do is reset the ecm back to stock setting? Because I did that and it appears my speedo is still adjusted?

try it first before you let your truck go. Once you return the truck to "stock" it should pull all the uploads back out of the truck. if you attempt to install it on your buddies truck and it says vin locked. then it did not return your truck to stock.
On my '07, tire recalibration has never returned to 31.40" after I unload it. The '06's maybe the same. Your Smarty Jr. is probably ready for your friend's truck. When you plug it in to your friend's truck and hit data read it should come up with 31.40" if he had 265's when new. You can load it back up into your own truck and enter 31.40",then unload it and it should be set back to stock. When I unload mine,I just leave the tire size in there. Additionally, when new i could read codes using the odometer readout. After the initial Smarty loading,my odometer readout doesn't work anymore. Minor nuisance though,as I'll always keep this programmer.
I know with the Sr. the high idle feature stays on when the Smarty is unloaded. I am not 100% sure how the "magic smoke" works in these things but I think they put a stock program back in that has been written to the Smarty by Marco. I know when you change programs it doesnt say it is downloading the factory tune then begin writing a new one. I remember reading on a thread here that someone said that all of the DC software cant be read to be saved anyway.
All this could be horse poo-poo though
... ask Bob or Marco, they will let you know for sure.

Your fine....it keeps the tire size adjustment regardless....it's meant as a curtisy feature...just like being able to read codes on any truck as well....the VIN Lock is only concerned about the power adder portion of the software...

When I had my 33/12.5/70 ST's installed, I had DC use the DBII to set the tire size to 30.95. Actually, they set the revs per mile to 652 to match my GPS data. Now, whenever I go back to stock, 30.95 is reloaded. 30.20 works for the 265/70/17 studdies now on the truck. Only way I can get that is to have software 1,2 or 3 loaded.
