Are you are planning on some pretty serious mods? A turbo appropriate the future it may be a disappointment today, I.E. slow spooling and poor street driveability. A turbo that works good today may be too small in the future. Definitely you will have to do an airbox mod or air filter replacement with the turbo. Personally I would look at replacing the turbo later in your BOMB-ing.

IMHO, you may find electronics, an exhaust, and intake mods fit you plans. You are probably looking to a minimum of $1300.00 for a new performance unit. Good luck!

If you get a bigger turbo withoud adding fueling it would be super laggy, due to not having the fuel to spool it. The stock turbo can handle mild bombs just fine.

No it wont be bad. Buying a turbo first is probably actually not a bad idea.
Just not many do it that way but it doesnt mean its wrong (probably smarter if you ask me).

i did turbo 1st. big single, with no other mods it performed great, as where with the

stock set-up i would have to shift down to 3rd. in some up-hill areas, after just the

big single up-grade and around the same trailer load, 5th. gear the whole way.

it really depends on what your using the rig for, if your going to be doin' alot of towin'

and are going to do more than just turbo and or fuel, like exhaust, filter and whatever

else, I would recommend puting your money in the tranny first, that is if it's auto,

in which most are, from what I gather they don't hold up to well with upgrades.

if your stick-shift, i would not worry to much about the trans, as i am still runnin'

my stock clutch and pushin' around 550-600hp.-900-1000ft.tq.

it slips just alittle in second with a heavy tow load if i roll into it hard and boost it.
