Yep, that's what it looks like with no turbo. In case people are wondering, I only put the baggy over the downpipe so a nut wouldn't fall down there and get stuck at the cat. Yes, this is the kind of luck I have.

Farmboy, take a good look under your hood and you can see everything that needs to be done. Intake needs to be removed, unbolt exhast clamps, remove intake tube going to IC, unbolt the oil feed line, unbolt the turbo from flange or just remove the entire exhaust manifold with the turbo still mounted to it. Believe it or not, it's much easier to just remove the manifold and deal with the turbos while it's on the bench.

It's not really hard it's just time consuming. Removing the exhaust manifold and turbo together as one piece for the removal and install is the easiest but it is a heavy combo and usually takes more than one guy. One guy can do it as I just did mine Friday night. The only thing that's a pain is the drain tube and trying to get it in the block after you have the manifold hung. The down pipe is another challenge for one person but I did have help with that Saturday morning. The best advice is to just take it slow and pay attention. The oil drain tube needs to be swapped and installed on the new turbo before installation. You'll see why once you get your stocker off. The oil supply can be put on after you get the turbo installed. Pay attention to the supply line and fitting as there are small o-rings that go in the fittings to seal the lines. They are flush mount so they contact the flat face of the line. Be careful with the manifold gaskets as well. If you are careful and they are in good shape then you can reuse them. If not, call ATS or the like and order new ones. I got new ones for $42. I used them but could of used the old ones as my HTB was only on there for a couple thousand miles. Once you get the turbo/manifold hung, put the cast elbow on but leave the band clamp a little loose so you can clock the elbow as you push your down pipe into it. That will help you align it easier. You will also want to pour a couple of ounces of new oil into your turbo and spin it a couple times for prelube before starting your engine. Removing the plastic inner fender like in the pic Dodgezilla04 showed you is the only way to go. You may also remove the front passenger tire for even more clearance. I don't remove the tire though. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things but maybe others will chime in. Just take your time and pay attention. It's not hard just time consuming. Good luck.

thanks guys. I think i'm going to have to dent my firewall a little cause the down pipe has to come back a half inch i thaought cause it has a exhaust brake on it from the factory which is great for hauling the cattle trailer cause i thaught the phat shaft 64/14 is a half inch longer atleast thats what Doug at PDW told me when i ordered it from him

You will have to make room against the firewall if you have the Jacobs. With the Pac you don't but you would have to grind off the end of the air cylinder mounting bracket. Either way you have to modify whichever brake you have.

I think it was from Top Gun Customz. It's a 2" steel spacer.

The shocks are Bilstein 5100's made for 0-2" lifts.
