Hey guys,looking for advice on a turbo upgrade.My truck is an 04.5 with a Airdog2,50 horse nozzles,s&b intake,straight piped,full tilt Goerend,and a Smarty.My issue is getting to hot with the Smarty turned up and I was advised to go with a Silver Bullet 64.I was initially thinking SilverBullet62,just wondering what everybody thinks?By the way I am pulling 40 + pounds of boost with the stock turbo,is a new turbo going to make a big difference?

 

Silver 62 is what i would recommend if you're going to stay with a single. I started with a 66 and hated it just got the 62 put on last week and i love it. My truck is weighing in around 14,000 and i've running a little more fuel than you are and it runs great, i'm not having trouble with my egts anymore either. I don't think you'll be happy with the 64 cause i was just on here a couple weeks ago with the same questions. The 66 done me absolutely no good. The 62 will really surprise you, its a pretty good jump from the factory. hope this helps.

 

I'd call up Engineered Diesel and have them build you a 62/71/14. The silver 62 is a 62/74/14 and with 50hp nozzles your not doin a whole lot to that 74mm turbine and the drive drive pressure with a 74mm turbine in a 14cm2 exhaust housing is turning a 62mm compressor is kinda pointless. Don't waste your money on a silver 62. Go with a 62/71/14 from Wicked diesels or Engineered Diesels.
