Talking TST update from past post!!!

ok guys i tried playing around today with the settings...

as follows.... on standard program ..

results: rail OFF level 1 TE level 6HP and boost set at 38PSI de fuel

hit 36PSI and 1050EGT. pulled awesome with my 37's!

next tried same 0 rail 2 TE and level 7HP same 38PSI boost

hit 37PSI at 1150 EGT again no popping at all still had the fuel going. felt a little sluggish lost a little HP..

ok then still 38PSI back to level 1 on TE and level 8HP ok now we feeling some tweekin.. hit 1250EGT not bad.. raw power still holding strong!

ok then lets push it to the max..level 9 at WOT it was nuts! went side ways spinning the 37's and was shocked at that. hit 1350EGT'S ok getting hot and maxed the boost at 38PSI..of course de fueled then...

my question is this.. i'm guessing that adding "rail pressure" is a waste with a stock turbo and no injectors? well can say i was very impressed with this TST. i can build with it like i plan toooo .. slowly i will and see that this unit has many options to grow with. oh, forgot set timing at AUTO 12...seems to like that config. heres a weird one for anyone that might know...... why does she pull hard right around 2900 RPM'S??? any takers? all settings it wants to jump forward and builds like another power band ready to go some more?

funny thing was when i reset my overhead milage thing...it was at 6.5 MPG @ WOT!!!!!! i was LMAO and still LOL.... thanks for all the help guys in my last post..

04 3500 SWR w/37's ..humm wonder what my stock tires would do?? just spin !!!!!!

PS: if i'm going to far with my settings and near danger someone let me know..thanks

on my 05 I set the TST 3/2 auto timming, low pressure tow mode but I do not have the pressure in the TST I have a stand alone pressure box. I wonder with all the updates with the TST when you turn on all the options if it dont slow the out put sig. try 3/2 and low pressure see how it runs should feel good. have you change out your stock lift pump? you need a good fuel sys when you start turning up all the Boxes

the TE settings raise the duration at 1600rpm up to 2900rpm, the HP settings raise the duration at 2900rpm and above. The power from timing is added according to boost and rpm. The different programs determine at what boost level the duration is maximized. You can also play with the timing a bit. The timing setting on Auto advances the fueling on rpm and boost. On manual it is fixed over the whole rpm range. On auto you can run higher than 12. You can run it until you start getting valve rattle that is excessive. At 2900rpm the Cp3 is spinning away at almost double the speed of 1600 so twice as much fuel volume can be pumped and the rail can be kept full. If you start draining the fuel at 1600rpm there is less available for the top end and the truck will take off fast and then just fall on its face. The pressure is not a waste. If you give a little pressure you will add smaller increments of fueling over the whole rpm range. A lot of pressure is ok for the very short term. A little pressure can be used alot of the time, but not all the time. ks

The tst seems to build more and more hp the higher the rpms are. The pressure will help you on the low end and get you off the line quicker.
