Do i need the egt lead wire installed to have the timer working?? I got my new harness in today and the timer does not work.I tried auto mode and set mode with a 1 minute run time.cut key off and truck shutdown.. what am I doing wrong!!?? guys help Robert

 

I believe so,how else would it know the temp?

 

I thought it has two options egt temp or time so I guess time to order lead wire

 

I was very disappointed with the operation of my tst w/cooldown. I have yet to reinstall mine since they "fixed" it.

Not sure about the ground wire but if I remember right you must set the time, temp, and then on another screen turn it on. That may be wrong but it only did it when it wanted to before.

I think the TST is only gonna be for hp lvl 2 and nothing else. Oh yeah maybe to advance timing depending on what smarty program I run.

You really NEED a smarty. If he can find time to talk, John at Floor It can explain why. Then you almost dont need the tst unless you dyno.

Not tryin to be brand biased or anything its just that he was telling me what the smarty did that the others dont do. I dont remember what he said but it made sense at the time.

 

What was I thinking,you're right about the timer,maybe don't need an egt lead wire.
