Ok I'm fairly new to the diesel Performance world. Been around them my whole life but all this new programmer stuff is confusing.
i was wondering about TST and Stacking it with other items. Can someone explain to me what the tst is and how you can stack it with say an Edge box
i am wanting to do a few things to my truck but the exhaust and intake portion and gauges are coming first for me then the rest follows as I get money.
thanks for any help

They are a company that makes a fueling box for the 3rd gen Cummins.
Rear wheel gains of up to 180hp and over 500ft lbs of torque.
The box is a injectors duration and timing box.
The boxes that people stack them with are usually fuel rail pressure related (for even more power).
TST+EZ
TST+TS Ramifier
TST+VA
TST+Xzillerader
My stack: TST+TS+BullyDog Downloader

TST and the Ramifier or TST and the VA CP3.1 are excellent stacks. I would put the TST and the EZ in a close third. With a turbo upgrade, the TST alone can net over 200 hp and 400 ft/lbs gain (mine did
). The TST is a duration and timing fuel box that does analog fooling/overide at the sensors/injectors. Add a little fuel pressure and you can see over 250 hp and 500 ft/lbs gain.
This of course is ony if your tranny can handle it.
Pourin,
Have you dyno'd since the addition of the BDDL? What levels are you running on all three?

I havent dynoed yet, but from what I can tell there is alot more power there now.
I gained about 5lbs of boost with the addition of the Bullydog.
I run mine on 90hp all the time and add the TST 2x5 through 7x5.
I beat another WRX in 5th gear yesterday, he didnt have a chance from about 40mph to 85mph. I felt sort of bad for him (NOT!)
2nd time we ran I tried 6th gear, by the time I spooled up he was about 5 feet ahead of me and I kept up with him to about 80 or so.

Re: tst
If you do not want to get to wild with power, you might want to consider the Edge Juice with Attitude since it is available for the 05s. Much nicer unit with many more options. You can stack it as well.
The TST stacks really well with many different boxes and it also appears to run better on the 04.5/05 trucks than the 03/04 trucks, so you would probably be real happy with it. Stacking depends on what you want to do. Go fast?....then stacked it with something that adds even more timing and some pressure like the Banks 6-Gun or one of the programmers like the BDDL. Want to tow and stay cool?.....conservative TST settings and conservative pressure will make real good, cool power. Most camper haulers really like the TST/VA stack as the VA pressure box has awesome low end power, right where most camper towers want it. For longevity and reliability, it would be best to stack the TST with a box that does mild pressure only.
You should come out to Truck Performance Night at the Palmer drag strip with us some time. Lots of fun. We went last night and had a blast blowing the doors of Hemi's and Chevy SS's. We will go again next month. Check the schedule at www.akracewaypark.com/2005%20schedule.htm . We are there (by we I mean the local AK bombers) for every Truck Performance Night and most Test and Tune nights.

The Juice is one of the nicer boxes I have driven (my brother's 600). If you don't want to upgrade your turbo, I think that is the best option. It really runs cool.
Mild tranny work, Juice with Attitude, Scotty intake, and muffler swap is probably the best budget package.
But...TST and pressure (Ramifier
) is still king for those who enough is not enough.
AK Ram...nice times.
I will have some intresting numbers myself in about 2 weeks and 2 days!

Gotta love the stacking ability, I might get me a VA3.1 - you say it is better than the ez,huh?
Just more fuel down low, but easier on the top end egt??

Thanks for all the info guys. It will be awhile before I'm able to do much to my truck but I am one of those guys that starts plaaning early.
AK RAM I would love to come down there sometime. Just a little long of a drive for me and the family. Wife doesn't want to drive down then drive right back. Are the test or tune nights like other places where anyone can run?? And on the truck performance nights is it all bombed trucks or what??
My next question is how do you stack boxes. do they just plug into one another or what??
I probably wont do this but would like to know. I mostly just want more power but not extreme power.

Come on down to Bully Dog Dog Days July 9! Cross at Coutts and then straight down I15 to the Blackfoot exit. I checked and it is only ~700 miles

Yeah, test-n-tune is for everyone. On advertised test-n-tune nights we get a lot of ricers (little tuner cars). Those are sure fun to beat up on. On Truck Night, there may be one or two cars that show up to test-n-tune in between brackets. The majority are gasser trucks as our diesel participation has been limited this year for some reason. Last night was the first night we had enough diesel trucks for a diesel only class. Sure was fun. Most gas trucks are stock. Hemi's and Chevy SS's that think they are fast. We did have an older Ford Lightening that was running high 12's. I don't think we had a stock diesel show up yet this year. What fun would that be?
Truck night is bracket racing against the clock, so you don't have to be fast to win, just consistent.
