TS Performance NOS

What modifications need to be done to a stock motor in order to benefit from NOS????? Does anyone have any experience with the TS kit????? What is the adjustability of NOS on a diesel pickup with a stock motor besides an intake, exhaust, and fueling increase through a box or programmer?????

You need extra fuel to benefit from nitrous, the banks 6 gun wont provide you with hardly any. You would need better performance tuning, TST, Crazy larry, or even a good stack. You would also need a clutch or a good trany. Unless your already at pretty high HP levels NOS really isnt a good option, theirs alot of better ways to get power before going to that.

depending on how much nitrous you plan on using,if its a pretty heavy dose your stock turbo wont like it. you may need to upgrade yourturbo and get head studs.

Because you dont have 100HP of extra fuel to burn. Besides that you would most likely want a new turbo and studs to handle the nitrous. Although with a new turbo you would be burning all the fuel anyways, so you would need injectors to provide the extra fuel and add a new lift pump on top of all that, but then you would have to ditch the banks six gun to get the most out of the mods and get a tst or another aggressive box, so instead of spending the 500 you thought, it would be around 4200(not including the nitrous kit) someone correct me if im wrong?

I agree with you on that but if i had a box that added excessive fuel........... Then why would NOS on the 50hp setting not work I'm not trying to argue its efficency I just want to know at what point are motor changes needed besides a fueling box or programmer?????????

when you start playing with nitrous would be a good guess. No you probably wouldnt blow anything up the first few times, but your going to take your turbo way out of its effiecency range when you spray the nos and thats not good for it. 50HP probably wouldnt kill your HG but...it might.

You would have to talk to someone who knows about water meth, from what ive seen i dont think you would get 50HP with your setup but itll keep the egts cool. I would look into an adjustable box like a TST or bully dog crazy larry, you wont always have to leave them on kill but with a flick of a switch you could probably(not sure what the 6 gun dynos) get more then 50HP over your current setup and you wouldnt have to have it their all the time.

If it dynoed 120 over stock that would be 390(figuring stock is 270) Which seems extremly high for a banks product if thats rear wheel. I would try to find somone whos dynoed a 6 gun, and someone whos dynoed a TST or another aggresive box to see how much it would give you.

I feel for the money that the NX kit is better and more upgradable. But TS have a couple of built nitrous trucks that run well.
