Is it true? Smarty 4.11 wild makes more hp than beta's
I have just about every version of Smarty software except the 4.3 beta. The last time I dynoed I used the 4.2 beta and you can see the numbers in my sig. Since then I have been using the 4.11 stacked with the Quad race using level 1 with the Quad and 8 wild on the Smarty. The truck is easy to drive but I still have smoke issues if I don't roll into the pedal just right. The 4.2 is a smoke monster and very touchy wich makes it hard to drive in traffic or slick roads. I have done the DIY CP3 mod and have sent off the Quad race to get an X2 race with the 325 race stacker tune (pressure only). It states that it will make less than advertised power with this tune due to being pressure only but I want the Smarty to control timing and duration.
I have 2 issues that I am hoping to fix by doing this. My boost never gets high enough to open the wastgate(40-42) and my rail pressure never goes above 24,500 regardless of settings or software used. I have sent the Commander back to Quad to have it checked and my boost reading is limited to 38 on the Quad which they are going to fix. I had to get a manual gauge to see the correct boost readings but they were still disappointing 40-42.
Some may not feel very sympathetic for me because I still am getting some good numbers but I think some things can be tweaked to get above 600hp. BTW the rail pressure reading really bothers me because I can really feel a seat of the pants difference after doing the DIY CP3 mod but I am still not seeing the rp numbers that I should (26,500 or higher) I even removed the Smarty at Quad's request and I got no difference in rp readings. I am hoping that these are just problems with the Commander and my true numbers are higher.
So when I get the Commander and X2 race back, which version of the Smarty do I want to use? I have hear many people state that Marco and Bill claim the 4.11 wild from thier website actually makes more top end horse power than the betas. Dynoing is expensive and I am going to need at least 3 runs to find the sweet spot setting on the new X2, 6 settings are going to make this even harder. I also noticed on the regular Quad Race that going to the highest setting lost me quite a bit of power, but setting 1 and 2 worked well and where fairly close with setting 2 giving me 10-15 more hp but setting 3 lost me more than 20 hp.
So until I can get the TNT(230hp) Smarty software, what version for the track and dyno and maybe even an opinion for daily driving. Thanks for the help and I apologize for the long post. I thought my experience so far might help others so they don't have to go through all the steps I have had to go through. Thanks again, Tom J.

Bob said in a Post that the 4.11 made made a little more than the 4.4. I do not know for sure but I think the 4.4 has more torque than the 4.11, at least this is the way it feels.
IMO the 4.2 is a different animal. It feels a lot stronger than the 4.4 and has proven such on the Dyno. Running the 4.11 than switching to the 4.2 the user would be in for a wild suprise.
I run the 4.2 on SW9 and run my Quad X2 on the setting #3 with the "Stack tune" pressure only tune loaded. My Rail pressure is 26.5K at WOT. The stack tune makes a big difference in the overall power.

I dunno how much its making but I can tell you this.. I ran a 06 with 60hp injectors, edge ez and crazy larry, afe stage 2, arc flow intake, 5inch straight pipe and had a southbend clutch and all I have is whats in my sig and I have a 305hp motor and it was neck and neck til about 80mph and I slowly started walking away.. Shut it down at about 110.. we went from a 50mph roll.. Of course this was on a closed track not high way..

beta 4.4 feels stronger on my truck although it could be the pressure on the bottom end that makes it this way but personally i find it the best daily driver low throttle pressure is needed to get things rollin' has a little more smoke but oh well
Went and tried 4.2 level 7 today (normally use 4.4 level 7)....definately has a diff tq mgmt on it than 4.4, as lots more throttle response and less pedal needed for power....biggest issue is that my trans did not like it at all...at light throttle it would hold shifts until 2200rpm...really annoying to drive at moderate speed....have to talk to trans builder.
I am curious if your not capiable of spinning that high if the TNT power will be as good as the 4.2 at the lower rpms. The 4.2 is mean in mid range. Time to dyno!
