Transmission temp sender
Transmission temp sender
I am in the process of installing gauges; after reading many threads here I am still confused about where to put the sender. Some recommend a port on the side of the tranny, I tried that, seems the sender is a little to large for that hole. Others recommend the "hot" line leaving the tranny heading to the cooler....OK, which is the hot one? Just cut the rubber line and install a "T" with pressure fittings? What size fittings do I need? (its a long walk to the parts house with my truck torn apart)
How much fluid will I lose?
Thanks!

Can't answer your q's directly, but another option would be to buy a deep pan that has the fitting already installed in it. Not only will it hold more oil, it will have a drain plug in it as well.
