Transfer tank/toolbox
Transfer tank/toolbox
I currently have a 75 gallon transfer tank tank sitting in my garage. For my new job, I have to now carry a tank for fueling construction equipment and as I only have a short bed I don't want to go the L shaped route. I'm in the process of converting my old TF tank into a refuelling tank by replacing the old filler cap with a wider one that comes straight up and welding up a bracket to take the transfer pump.
My question is, as I'd like to cover the ugly pump setup on my new truck, how about cutting the bottom out of a toolbox and placing it over the tank so it just looks like a regular toolbox. This will cover the entire pumping system and take the "service truck" look off it.
Anybody else here done something similar?
