Trans Temp Sender Probe Replacepement
Trans Temp Sender Probe Replacepement
Guys,
I bought a Di-Pricol gauge about a year and a half ago. Lately my tranny temps never go above 100 degree's. Gauge moves about 1/32 of an inch when I turn the truck on, and back when I turn it off. I'm asuming the gauge, or the probe in the line is shot. Has anybody ever ordered a temp sender? Are they generic in replacements like a autometer would work with it? Not sure how to go about this so I figured I'd start here.

If it is 40 to 50 degrees out my gauge will only rise up to 130 degrees if I am in town in traffic and the truck is already warm. When I head down the road at 55 MPH with a locked TC the temp drops back down to 100 deg on the needle. Your sender may not be bad. It's just cold out side.
Yeah, i thought of that before too since it's been in the 40-50's here lately. However when I shot the pan and the hot line with the infared (pan was 130 and hot line was 156) I know my gauge is off by like 80 degree's, too much for my accuracy. Only problem is I have the older di-pricols so if I have to replace them with the optix, ahhhhhhhh.
