trans gauge not reading?
trans gauge not reading?
so i installed a isspro trans gauge in my truck on sat and i believe it is not working. the needle doesnt move, at all. i have the sensor in the pan. do i have to maybe ground the sensor from the pan to the frame? or is something else the matter? thanks for your help.
Is the truck up to temp? My gauge does not read until I've been driving for about 5 minutes.
I had a problem with the wires pulling out of the amp box... they still looked hooked up, but were not.

I can't remember exactly what the hook up procedure was, it's been 6 years.
On my amp, there were screw terminals on the side for the wires to go in to, you just tightened it down.

Is your tranny locked when driving? If so it may keep the temp down pretty low and depending where your gauge temp reading starts you might not see it until it gets hot. Mine starts at 100* F. During the winter, with my tranny locked in town I usally don't see anything above 100* unless it's stop and go. Just a thought. Good luck.

Hmmmm....I thought the instructions called for grounding the box. Is there a control box for the trans temp on an EV2? Oh, I think they use the harness ground to the gauge as the ground for the stepper motor. Thats the way the boost gauge is wired.
yeah there is a control box but you dont ground it like you do on the pyrometer i know exactly what your talking about. i lost my trans gauge directions there is no wire for power and no wire for a ground like you would think maybe im wrong ill have to check.
