With the Smarty loaded, my tranny likes to "hunt" between 2nd and 3rd gear when taking off at a moderate pace. Now if I'm half-way hard into the throttle (no burn-outs or anything), the truck shifts just fine.

At like 8-10 mph it shifts outta 1st, goes into 2nd, and then goes right into 3rd at like 15-20 mph. I can throw it into 2nd and get up to 25 mph then shift into Drive and it shifts fine the rest of the way through the gears.

It does this with mild TQ MGMT or mod TQ MGMT loaded up as well...I havent tried loading up stock TQ MGMT yet....

It doesnt do this with stock software loaded up, I have my ABS adjusted for my tire size as well, and the tranny was just recently serviced (fluid/filter/bands adjusted) as well.

Any ideas?

 

On my 06 I use O/D off around town up to around 40mph its stops it from hunting, and seems to get a little better around town mileage.

 

Yeah, I do that as well but it still hunts around...

 

The tranny / electronic throttle cable system just stink at very light throttle....smarty aggrivates it....my built trans does the 2-3-2 at very light throttle.....and when it was stock, it did the 1-2-1 shuffle....it's annoying for sure....i drive around it for now....hoping somethings

 

Thats exactly what my truck does....the 2-3-2 shuffle...drives me nuts! I never noticed it hunting when it was stock...maybe it's just too subtle because the TQ MGMT is tuned back to stock? Who knows...

I'm glad I'm not alone with this issue...but it does drive me nuts...
