At the track.
Tonight was the first chance to get to run my truck with the new injectors and studs. I ended up running a 7.7 at 95 MPH in the 1/8.
What was really funny was that i put out so much smoke the guy i was racing ( and older trans am) couldnt see when the light went green and had to wait till the smoke cleared a little, by that time i was halfway down the track...LOL
He ended up with a over 2 second reaction time.
I got some video of it and ill post it later so check back, but for now i got to hit the sack, im waking up bright and early to get to the diesel shootout in the morning!

That is an awesome time! Seeing you do all this is killing me that the tracks dont open here for another month. I am glad to see that your injector problems are taken care of. You need to crank her down the 1/4 to see what it will do there. It is a crazy addiction that strip... isnt it?
I have a 70 Chevy C-10 I am building for me and the old lady. She races her Cobalt SS but it is too hard on our every day vehicles. I have a nice destroked 377 and a TH400 sitting at the shop for it.

It was funny cuz when the anouncer stopped me and the guy, he asked the guy (on microphone) driving the trans "what happened you got smoked" and the guy in the trans said (jokingly) "he cheated, i couldnt see anything!"
The crowd loved it!

You think thats funny you'll love this. My smart new 18 yr old brother in law wanted to race something one night about 10 years ago when we went to the track and he decided to drive my beater 89 Ford Festiva, bone stock (is there any other way) I gave 50 bucks for. It had about 300,000 on it and smoked so bad I had parked it cause I got a ticket warning for unsafe motor vehicle.
The funny part was that some punk in a four cyl. s10 was talkin to him before the race about how fast his little truck was after he reworked this n that and on and on.
They go to line up and the anouncer says "In the right lane we got a black 84 s10 and in the left lane we got a.....well its red and.......man that things gonna kill every mosquito on the spectator side".
He had a half second reaction time and still beat the s10 by 7/10ths.
Now that was funny. That poor kid probably had an excuse for loosing if I wouldve cared.
