On my '03 my throttle is very touchy at low speeds. In 1st and 2nd gear it is tough to accellerate slowly or hold a steady speed. I know that the '03-'04's had a different throttle setup than the later trucks. I have the torque management turned down on my Smarty Jr. Once you get her rolling things are fine but starting out especially without a trailer is tough. Chime in with ideas or experience.

 

Is it from the zero throttle launching? If so it's normal. The ECM is adding fuel because of RPM's dropping from the engine loading. The truck seems to lurch forward before the ECM can back off the fueling. But on my truck once it's rolling it's fine. Easy to hold speed in first and second gear.
