Topper ??
I have a SWEET deal on a leer topper off a 99 shortbed dodge. Will it fit my o5 shortbed? I noticed the cab shape is a little different, and the front bed rail on mine is curved on the inside. Anyone have any experience?
I'm going over to look at it closer in about an hour, so any help would be great!!!!

I use to work at a Leer installion place, and the answer is more than likely, no.
The toppers are designed to fit within a certain tolerance of the cab, and the roof lines. The beds were slightly redesigned also, so again, likely no.
The only think i could tell you would be to have them place it on your bedrails and see how it looks. I'd bet that there will be some very visually unappealing lines when it is in place.

I have a Leer on my truck and I love it.
Check the link, they have a LEER fit chart, it might give you a better idea.
If you can get the ID number off the tag on the left rear rail it would help.

Good Luck Jim.

thanks guys, I test fit the topper... FUGLY. Not tall enough and a touch too long. BUT... I got it for 75 bucks...... It's sitting on my 01 Silverado, and it actually is not too bad a fit at all. Just need to trim the weatherstrip at the bottom of the back glass. Still need to find one for my CTD now.
