Took The Juice/Attitude To The Track

Posted this on so many forums already, heh

took the juice to the track last night

For the record, with the Bullydog on performance (90hp 200tq) i ran 15.013 at about a 2lb boost launch my first time at the track.

The best i could muster with the juice was 15.000 with 8-12lb boost launches. I am confident that the bullydog will get in the 14's with an 8lb launch. The 15.000 launch was the best time. The worst time was a 4lb launch, and the 12lb launch was 4 tenths worse than the 8lb launch.

All runs were done in 4x4 with the juice on 5/5 with the transmission defueler turned off. The bullydog has no defueling so i wanted to make the conditions the same.

Bullydog - 90/200
Juice - 100/250

Ran 1550 EGT's all night long, engine temp was around 196 for each race. Conditions were the same as when i ran the bullydog.

How far up in elevation were you?

You're saying that the BD at 90hp gives more power than the EDGE at 100hp?

Just doesnt make sense, I beat all of my friends cars who are low to mid 15s right now with just a BHAF and a straight pipe

The BD at 90hp i am confident will smoke the juice. i was doing 2lb launches with the BD doing 15.013 and with the juice 8-12lb launches got me a best 15.000. ive never heard of a stock (mostly) diesel running anything better than a high 15 or low 16

5000' above sea level

Well maybe my truck is a factory freak b/c these are some of the cars I have beaten about 1-3 car lengths with only BHAF and STRAIGHT PIPE:

*98 Mustang GT 5spd w/ Intake and exhaust
*01 Civic SI 5spd gutted w/headers, exhaust, intake
*05 Mazda 6 V6

All those cars low to mid 15s. Ive raced from a roll and a stop. I even raced my buddies 350Z from a 20mph roll and we will dead even till about 60.

If you're telling me that ill be at the best hi 14s, what would I have to stack the EDGE Juice with in order to be low 14s or even high 13s

i beat an older mustang GT 5sp as well. definitely not a low 15 car

Not sure about the civics or the 6's, but i do know that older mustangs up here are running even with quad cab 4x4 hemis with 20's which are in the high 15's to low 16s stock

The Juice/EZ stack is a good stack and will do low 14's. Its all about the transmission really when you get to the 14's and 13's

I think you'll gain alot by upgrading the transmission, not cheap though. Your truck has a similar set up to ours, except we have the hot version, and upgraded the tranny. I've never timed the truck, but it might break into the 13's it sounds like, I like the sound of that.

Stroke this i met you at one of the dyno days, cant remember what one though. I upgraded my tranny all the way and did also upgraded my CL to the newest setting, and turned of the tq management and turned the low end fueling on and netted a 13.997, im confident i can get a low 13.8 at least with another run, might want to try and upgrade yours (if its a triple dog)

So you pretty much have what I have PLUS the EDGE EZ which made you run a 13.9 just with the EX stack?

I am really trying to get in the HI 13s with NO TRANS or TURBO upgrade, so whats the cheapest/easiest way to get there considering I already have BHAF, 4" Straight pipe and EDJE JUICE, would stacking be the best way? Which stack with the EDGE would be the best anyways, EZ or quad(the cheap tow version 65hp)???

Ok sorry to burst your bubble, but running 13's even 13.90's like me will kill your tranny, these trannys are junk compared to the tq shift and the allison, before my tranny i ran a 14.67 on extream, when i went up to the crazy larry and it didnt go any faster, and i had more boost on launch, the tranny just slipped and netted me the same time.

the 48RE is a much beefier trans, and can handle more than 14.6

you won't get into the 13's on a stock tranny.

Edge Juice ran me 14.9....with EZ i turned 13.96.
