When your engine is at 3200 rpms (Safe Allegged RPM) With 40psi of drive pressure your okay. But then you start throwing 60psi of Drive pressure at the same 30lbs spring. That is when you will start to have valve float, Valve seat and all the other issues that are associated with higher drive pressures and rpm's. That is where a stiffer let's say a 60lbs Spring will have greater resistance to floating. And you can also be assured that When the Cummins is Screaming(3200rpm 60lbs of boost) your valves will stay closed during the appropriate stroke and open at the appropriate Lift. That is the insurance in my eyes knda like what Christian and Lloyd said just in understanding. Correct me If I'm wrong by all means

exactly!.............

Hey Loyd,

During your video I noticed the lift pump pressure dropped to 12psi.

Do you think a larger delivery system would help with power output? I know that twin Cp3's are supposed to be kept at 20 psi and was wondering if the drop is causing the power to taper a little (even though the rail pressure is good)?

I hope to be running the same setup next week.....So I am curious!

Great work man!

Tnt Rocks!

I drove it about 150 miles today on SW9. WOW. I wasn't sure how much more to expect above 4.2, but it is VERY significant. It has some similarities to the 4.2, but is so much more refined. It smokes a lot less and does not have near as much timing rattle, but if you want it to smoke it will. I think this tune is easily a daily driver, at least for me.

It startled me a bit at first when I punched it at 35MPH and lit my Toyo 35's like it was it was raining, but the roads were bone dry. From a start without any powerbrake I can spin the tires into third.

The boost ramps so fast. It never stops pulling and peaks at 3,500rpms. At 3,500 rpms you need to be in a straight line.

Dyno day Friday!

Great Job Marco and Bob!

Actually, duals don't need a lot of pressure. CP3's don't really need a lift pump since they work on suction. Dmax's don't have LP's.

Lloyd I'm sure has huge sticks which I'm sure eats up the fuel but, as long as the CP3's keep up..

I keep mine at 12psi and it doesn't vary from there, that's with a single walbro. I'm sure it can vary though from truck to truck depending on installed components.

tritont,

I respect your opinion and I hear what your saying about pressurizing dual pumps, but if you watch the clip you can see how hard those pumps are fueling (sucking).
The Cp3's drain the feed line to 11-12 psi on the dyno....I was just wondering if there is a potential increase by having the pumps fed with 20-25psi under heavy load.

The rail pressure stays steady...I see that....Just wondering

I will try a modest pressure bump on my truck next week....I think this TNT program is hungry!

quick question, does one need a cam to run the tnt Race version or will just springs (along w/ fuel, turbo, and tranny upgrades) work??

The TNT tune seems to have a little less added pressure or the same as the 4.2. I noticed a nice additional power increase when I turned up my pressure box a couple notches.

Are you using the stack tune on X2?

You may find anything over 20psi feed pressure the ppe pump will spike the rail at idle. 18psi is optimal.
Of course more pressure is a good on some applications.

I ran a Walbro and was able to drain the feed pressure to zero..in 3seconds. My rail pressure was still in the mid 20's. There was still volume in the line just a matter of when it would dry out. If you could run more feed pressure you could prolong the process.

I ended up running two quiet Walbro's. Feed pressure never moved off 18psi with Flux 3.5's and a stage 2 on the bottom.
